On July 17, the French Football Federation (FFF) officially announced that it will file a lawsuit with FIFA over Argentine players singing a racist song.
Official Statement:
FFF President Philippe Diallo strongly condemns the song sung by the Argentine players after their victory, as well as the unacceptable racist remarks made against French team players, which were spread in videos on social networks.
In light of the gravity of these shocking statements, which violate the values of sport and human rights, the FFF President has decided to file a direct complaint with both the Argentine and FIFA authorities and to initiate legal proceedings for the insulting statements of a racial and discriminatory nature.
Recap of Events: After the Copa America final, Enzo started a live stream on the team bus where he and several Argentine players sang a racist song targeting the French team.
